1988 The design comprises two basic geometric shapes – a rectangle and a circle. The rectangular building hosts 4 floors of council offices and citizen services; the cylindrical building with partially glazed cone-shaped roof houses the council chamber. A triangular portico marks and joins the entrances to the council chamber and the offices. The portals are clad in large white ceramic tiles and the unbroken façade set back under the portals is made of glass. (design only) |
